Child Welfare & Educational Society is a registered non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization that was established in 2007. CWES beginning with a small group of young, mission oriented professionals, educationist and businessmen with a vision to make “CWES” an international NGO. It is an organization based in Faridabad, district of Haryana. In last four years our activities have broadened in the fields of female literacy, education for children, non-formal education, income generating skills, community health and awareness programmes on various social issues.
CWES has been speculated why children in these areas are not encouraged to go to school for education or training, Local families cannot afford to live without having everyone in the household work – including very young children. Eventually these children are forced into becoming bonded laborers at local factories/industries. Young girls are forced to work as sex laborers in order to survive. There is no awareness amongst the population here on grave issues such as HIV and AIDS either.
The Evening School being run by CWES is located in Faridabad (Rajeev Colony-Sector-56, Gaunchi Vaillage, Badkhal Village & SGM Nagar) where several children are orphans. Many such homeless children can be seen begging for food by the roadside, while some others resort to theft in order to survive. Young girls are forced to work as prostitutes and are given little or nothing in return. In some families despite having parents, children are forced to doing domestic work or bonded labor because of ill health and sickness amongst the adults. Hence children are deprived education and have no awareness of what lies beyond their immediate surrounding and community. Their world is very small and their view is limited.
Environment:
Our organization is sincerely working on making the environment clean by putting up the rallies to enlighten the general public and make them aware of the usefulness of the tress around us. The organization also organized a lot of drama, theatre work to reach to the minds of the people. At times, it also uses projectors to redefine the technology based awareness program.
HIV/AIDS :
Our organization pledged to eradicate HIV and AIDS out of the state of Haryana on 2nd of November 2009. In that regard, we have been observing many a days as an AIDS day or HIV day to let the people come out and join hands in killing this social evil. We have also started a technological based awareness program by giving the general public an access to the tests for HIV/ AIDS by just making a call to the organization. We have set up different volunteers in different areas who work sincerely in dealing with the calls. We have succeeded in aware a lot of mass.
A campaign against Drinking:
Finding this as the most critical problem for the youth of the country, we have joined hands in going as far as we can to make the country live without this evil. We have spread our wings to reach to the colleges where we think is the heart of the youth lives. Through dramas and rallies we could join a lot of hands who worked with us in beautifying the country. We also got a lot of support in this regard from the offices of the Govt. of India.
Blood donation camp:
To carry on with the slogan of ‘ RAKT DAAN MAHADAAN’ we have always stood first in organizing various blood donation camps across the state with huge enthusiasm. Blood the most integral part of life is given to those who need it by those who have the resource to satisfy the need. The love of fellow human and a desire to share something of oneself is what singles out a blood donor from the others. Emergencies occur every minute. For each patient requiring blood, it is an emergency and the patients could have set back if blood is not available.
BPL Awareness Programme ( Below Poverty Line) :
We helped the Government of India in catching the crooks who were doing the business of snatching the right of the poor. We went as far as the Municipal Corporation Faridabad of the State of Haryana to voice out for the poor of the state. We aware those people who is illiterate and no any knowledge how to fill up there forms accordingly Government norms.
Female Foeticide:
In a country where we respect the lady as the “DEVI”. There can never be more horrendous crime than female foeticide. For this, the organization has come in support of the ladies to educate them about the value of a girl child to the society and how it maintains equilibrium. We conducted many a rallies, sports activities under the banner of “SAVE GIRL CHILD”.
